Well, as much as I would like to attend both evenings of Aglianico e Aglianico, I am only able to go to one evening. I have chosen the second night, 12 November. My last blog on the subject gave a run down on the food that will be served. What will be interesting as well will be the two wine tastings held that evening.

First up at 2030 hrs will be a guided wine tasting of the vintages 2006, 2004, 2003 e 2001
of Aglianico Bocca di Lupo di Antinori Tormaresca

Immediately following at 2200 hrs a guided wine tasting of the vintages 2005, 2001, 1999 e 1993 of Taurasi dei Feudi di San Gregorio

What I like about both sessions is that we will have an opportunity to try the same wine, but from different vintages. That way we can see how a Taurasi, for example, can change according to its age, how the weather was that particular year, etc. It should be very informative.
